Ted Robare has been handling all forms of litigation
for over fifteen years in both state and federal court. He has handled all phases
of litigation from filing to appeal. He has tried numerous cases to conclusion,
both with juries and without. He has sat as Acting Judge in District Court,
Traffic Court and Small Claims Court many times. He has successfully handled
the defense of all types of traffic offenses from speeding tickets to overweight
violations. His practice originally focused on criminal defense, having handled
three murder cases and numerous other offenses. His practice has since broadened
to include representation of landlords in landlord-tenant relations and residential
real estate. Mr. Robare has handled many actions on behalf of individuals injured
in automobile accidents. He has recently been handling estates of significant
value and is involved in the creation and maintenance of trusts.
        Mr. Robare graduated from the Atlanta College of Art with a B.F.A. degree in 1975 and began a career in advertising in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After pursuing advertising for a number of years, Mr. Robare attended Vermont Law School, graduating in 1987. While in law school, he was exchequer and magistrar of the legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi.
        Mr. Robare has served as the representative of the
City of Rutland on the Rutland Regional Planning Commission, serving
as Chair for two years. Following that, he served as vice-chair of the
City of Rutland Planning Commission from 1996-2003. He also served five
years on the Board of Directors of the Bennington-Rutland Opportunity
Counsel. He is a charter member of the Vermont Association of Criminal
Defense Attorneys. He lives in Rutland with his wife and youngest son,
his two daughters being in college.
